The Skate:             Bayonne Bridge Skate
The Date:              July 6, 2008
The Time              11:30  Meet in Jersey City PATH
 
 
The skate begins at the Exchange Place PATH stop in Jersey City, and we'll skate
through Liberty State Park, over the Bayonne Bridge, and wind up on the Staten
Island Ferry. At about the 3/4 mark, we'll stop in Staten Island for pizza at
Denino's and/or Italian ices at Ralph's. We will make a couple of deli stops
along the way for drinks and snacks.

We'll leave from Jersey City at 11:30. For those coming from NYC, we'll meet at
11:00 at the World Trade Center PATH entrance. The PATH entrance at  Church and
Fulton is temporally closed,  you now enter at Vesey Street and West Broadway,
one block west of Church Street. Allan can meet you at the WTC PATH station and
help guide you to Jersey City.

The skate is about 22 miles, and we'll probably get to the ferry between 3 and
4.
 
Bring helmets, wristguards, sunscreen, cash for refreshments, and shoes for the
PATH and ferry and Denino's. The PATH accepts cash ($1.75) and pay- per- ride
Metro Cards but not unlimited ride Metro Cards. The Staten Island Ferry is FREE!
 
This is a great opportuniity for a close up view of Ellis Island and the Statute
of Liberty from "the Jersey side".
