Hello skaters!

The Central Park Skate Patrol Friday Night Skate is intended to help skaters
that are not comfortable skating in groups and/or in the streets to achieve
those skills.

We had one skate in May and considered not doing it again. After some thought
and discussion we decided to give it another try. We hope to have a skate for
the beginners on a regular schedule once a month if this one works out.

Some of the comments we got back during the last skate was that the new skaters
felt intimidated and crowded by the large group of experienced skaters that
showed up.

You know we all love to skate with you guys but unless you are a registered
patroller in a uniform coming to help out please avoid showing up for this
skate. We want to give the new skaters a secure and comfortable skate.
