THE FIFTH ANNUAL BIG APPLE ROLL WEEKEND (BAR - 2007), Friday, August
24th - Sunday, August 26th, 2007, is an exciting weekend of group
skates, adventures exploring and experiencing New York City on
skates. Party with old friends, make new ones, feel the rush of
skating New York City, the skating capital of the world! Enjoy the
City's majestic urban landscape, beautiful scenery, smooth pavement,
rolling hills and fast straight-aways. Central Park is also the
center of dance skating where you can join the worlds greatest skate

"HOTEL CENTRAL":
We are using the SKYLINE HOTEL again this year. Our special, highly
discounted group rates are fantastic for a Midtown Manhattan hotel:

ROOMS LIMITED RESERVE RIGHT AWAY!
Empire Skate Club's Big Apple Roll must be mentioned to receive the
discounted rates.

Rates** are based on single or double occupancy:
Standard room with two twin beds - $129 / night
Standard room with two double beds - $139 / night
Deluxe king or queen - two beds - $169 / night

** $20 for each additional person
** Maximum 4 persons to a room.
** Rates do not include taxes of 13.375% and $3.50 per night City
occupancy tax.

A number of rooms have been blocked for Thursday to Monday, with most
of the rooms available for Friday and Sunday, and fewer for Thursday
and Sunday nights.

NEW VIDEOS OF LAST YEAR'S BAR 2006:

Robo Veloso made videos of all last year's BAR 2006 skates, added
wonderful editing, special effects, music and interviews. THEY ARE
FANTASTIC! Maki Asahina, Webmaster for Empire and Big Apple Roll will
be putting them on the BAR website. All participating skaters,
friends, and other skaters will enjoy viewing the videos. They are
great films of the BAR, lots of fun, as well as promotion of what we
