Car Free Grand Concourse
Sunday, October 8th 12 - 5 pm

This is not an Empire event. (But come out anyways!)

Car-Free Sunday on the Grand Concourse (171st Street to Mt. Eden) Walk,
bike, run or blade your way up and down block after block of car-free fun
as we reclaim this beautiful, historic boulevard for an afternoon. Come
visit the Transportation Alternatives bike station while you're there!

In the early 1990s, the 3.5 mile stretch of the Grand Concourse was closed
every Sunday afternoon all summer long. Help celebrate the return of this
prime urban space to non-motorized use!

Skaters meet at 171st St. and Grand Concourse at 12:00 noon on Sunday
morning for some leisurely city touring.
