Q?? Is this a fun inline marathon for anyone who wishes to participate or a
blood-and-guts, only-the-strong-survive event?

-- Most of the participants will skate only to achieve the goal of doing a
marathon, so it's for anyone who wants to participate. Although we suspect
there will be a few serious skaters, that's ok too! So far, no official
speed teams have signed up (and we don't expect any). So to answer your
question, this will be a fun skate for everyone!

Q?? Is there a half-marathon, also, or only the full???

-- Sunday will be a full marathon. Time trials will be Saturday, on a per
loop basis (you choose). You do not have to participate in the time trials
to be in the marathon.

Q?? Are there medals given for finishing or just for those coming in the
fastest?

-- There will be medals for everyone that participates, and prizes for the
first, second and third place finishers. We're also giving away extra
prizes Sunday after the marathon, including Disney park passes, Disney
inline marathon paid registrations, wheels, bearings, etc...

Q?? Just, please, kind of describe what this event is and its purpose.

-- No purpose! Just come out and enjoy, have fun, and make friends. Excess
funds raised for the event will be donated to the "Friends of the County
Parks" (this is where the Squiggy music starts).

Full Moon Fun Skate, Marathon and More!
March 10th, 11th and 12th, 2006

A New Exciting Annual Skating Event at Flatwoods Wilderness Park...

The Full Moon Fun Skate will be held Friday 10 March, with a 7pm Rollout.
$10.00 pre-registration includes T-Shirt or $3.00 at the gate for the skate
only. The Full Moon Fun Skate will meet at the Flatwoods Entry Station off
Morrison Bridge (Fletcher). Parking is available at the Ranger Station.

On Saturday, 11 March in the early morning, we will be holding our Inline
Skate Time Trials with a 10am Start, 12 Noon End. This will be your
opportunity to see how fast you can skate the 7 mile loop! Start and Stop
location will be at the "Y". See our website for the map of how to get to
the "Y". Registration for the Marathon will get you signed up for the
Trials. You do not have to participate in the Time Trials to be in the
Marathon.

On Sunday, 12 March the Inline Skate Marathon will commence, 8am Rollout. A
begin and end marker will be established. $35.00 pre-registration includes
T-Shirt. Prizes and medals will be given away immediately after the event
at the Ranger Station, Flatwoods Entry Station.
