Full Moon Fun Skate, Marathon and More!
March 10th, 11th and 12th, 2006

A New Exciting Annual Skating Event at Flatwoods Wilderness Park...

The Full Moon Fun Skate will be held Friday 10 March, with a 7pm Rollout.
$10.00 pre-registration includes T-Shirt or $3.00 at the gate for the skate
only. The Full Moon Fun Skate will meet at the Flatwoods Entry Station off
Morrison Bridge (Fletcher). Parking is available at the Ranger Station.

On Saturday, 11 March in the early morning, we will be holding our Inline
Skate Time Trials with a 10am Start, 12 Noon End. This will be your
opportunity to see how fast you can skate the 7 mile loop! Start and Stop
location will be at the "Y". See our website for the map of how to get to
the "Y". Registration for the Marathon will get you signed up for the
Trials. You do not have to participate in the Time Trials to be in the
Marathon.

On Sunday, 12 March the Inline Skate Marathon will commence, 8am Rollout. A
begin and end marker will be established. $35.00 pre-registration includes
T-Shirt. Prizes and medals will be given away immediately after the event
at the Ranger Station, Flatwoods Entry Station.

SQUIGGY QUESTIONS BANK: Below are a couple questions from potential
participants. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to e-mail them

A. >>Question: Several of our members are concerned about coming over for
the marathon because they can only come one day and not spend the night and
they believe the time trials are a pre-requirement for seeding placement
into the marathon? Is that so, or can we just come to the marathon on Sunday
if we can't stay both days (Saturday and Sunday)?

>>Answer: You don't have to participate in the time trials to be in the
marathon. We basically have someone officially giving you your time of how
fast you can skate the 7 mile loop, just for the fun of it. There is no
extra cost or requirements to do this. So those that want to only do the
marathon can do so.


B. >>Question: Trying to find out about inline time trials and marathon
march 11 and 12 2006 at Flatwoods park. Where you sign up doesn't give any
information about distance for the time trail. And does not say anything
about any age group or anything about if it is just for fun or a race. I
would like to know for $35.00 is it a race with prizes for different age
groups or is it open and you race?

>>Answer: For the Time Trials, we basically have an official timing how
fast you can skate the 7 mile loop once. You can do as many loops as you'd
like, just let the timing official know. We only have the track and timing
equipment for 2 hours that Saturday morning. For the following morning
Marathon, awards (for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place) will be grouped between men
and women. Everyone will receive a medal for completing the Marathon. The
$35.00 price includes t-shirt. As popular sign-ups have it so far, most
people will do the marathon just to complete a marathon (not as a race, but
as a goal). But of course there are others that will participate for the
awards. So the choice is yours! Come out and take advantage of an event
we're providing FOR YOU, and tell everyone that you've done a Marathon.
