Dear All,
The good folks at the Athens to Atlanta road skate are reminding
everybody that the registration fee jumps by $10 on June 1.

If you don't know about A2A, the centerpiece is an 87 mile
super-ultra-maxi-mega skate between Athens Georgia to Atlanta.
There are shorter routes run also, 37 miles (Athens to Dacula) and
52 miles (Dacula to Atlanta). The course is hilly, but most of the
several hundreds who start each year finish.

Someone described it to me memorably last night: "It's not a 'race,'
just a very long fun-skate with a clock."

I have done it twice, and am going back for a third this year. Save
the date: October 9, 2005!
