Skaters,

Here it is. The first skate to Jones Beach for 2005. Here are the
directions for the skaters and for everyone who wants to join the barbeque.

IF YOU ARE SKATING AND ARRIVING BY TRAIN...

Take the Long Island Railroad from Penn Station to Massapequa. The train
leaves promptly at 10:05 AM and arrives in Massapequa at 11:05 AM. Exit the
platform and meet in the NORTH parking lot (on the side adjacent to CVS
pharmacy).
If you are leaving by train from Flatbush Avenue, then you must be on the
train at 9:48 going to Jamaica. Transfer in Jamaica for the train to
Massapequa.
You will also arrive at 11:05AM.
PLEASE....GET OFF THE TRAIN IN MASSAPEQUA. DO NOT MISS THE STOP AND HAVE TO
TAKE A TRAIN BACK.

IF YOU ARE SKATING AND DRIVING TO THE TRAIN STOP TO MEET EVERYONE...

Take the Belt Parkway/ Southern State Parkway going east. Take the Southern
State Parkway to EXIT 30 (Broadway) South. Take Broadway about 3 miles south.
Turn left in to the parking lot at Veterans Blvd., which is BETWEEN THE CVS
AND THE LIRR TRACKS. If you cross under the train tressel and cross Sunrise
Hwy., then you went too far.

The skate will be about 12 miles through Massapequa, Seaford, Wantagh and
Cedar Creek Park. Hang out at the beach for a few hours, then skate back to
Jack's house.

IF YOU WILL MISS THE SKATE AND GO STRAIGHT TO THE BARBEQUE...

Take the Southern State Parkway to EXIT 29 (Route 107/ Hicksville Road). You
need to go south into Massapequa. Continue south to Maple Street. Turn
right on Maple street. The address is 1 Maple street. It is the last house on
Maple street and on the corner of Maple street and Seaford Avenue.
(Maple Street is SOUTH OF SUNRISE HIGHWAY and NORTH OF MERRICK ROAD).
