Re:Sport Injury Doc Reccomendations

Hi Kil,

You should call Dr. Andrew Feldman at 212-604-1340.  He is a knee specialist and a team physician with the New York Rangers.  He is a very good doctor and he has seen a lot of ultimate frisbee knee injuries.  He doesn't know much about the sport but when I told him how I got hurt he said he's seen dozens of patients who play ultimate.  For anyone with knee problems I would recommend this guy.

He basically talked me out of surgery, gave me really good, supportive knee braces, a referal for physical therapy, and checked my feet to see if I need orthotics.  My knees feel a whole lot better than they did 12 or 18 months ago.  I used to get stabbing pains in them, especially after playing but now that is almost completely gone.

I think he takes most forms of insurance, and he is located a few blocks south of Union Square on University Place.

Hope this helps.

Eric (knee brace guy
