I just purchased a pair of Puma 5000m turf shoes for $25 from a store going out of business on Broadway at Spring St. in Soho. They are black with an extremely knobby tread, and very lightweight. The normal price for these shoes is more like $80 online:http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/5289320.html 
They come in all kinds of colors, but I only saw the all black model. 

I don't know if this shoe will stand up to long term hard use and lateral movement, but for anyone playing on artificial turf or where cleats are not allowed, this might be of interest. For $25, it might be worth a try. They have women's sizes as well.

I might be inclined to pick up a pair for anyone who can paypal me the funds.
