SPRING HAS SPRUNG!!! APRIL FOOLS!!!!   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #520 of 858 |
We are pleased to officially announce the start of the "unofficial"
Spring pick-up Ultimate in Central Park!

Please come out to the East Meadow (98th and 5th Ave.) aka "dustbowl"
in Central Park this Saturday around 2 p.m. for an enjoyable, but fast
paced game of Ultimate.

While some very fine and experienced players participate here, this is
primarily a recreational game with an emphasis on having fun, playing
well and, of course, the "Spirit of the Game." This is a co-ed game
and newcomers are welcome. If you are hardcore athletic, that is fine,
just match up with someone who will challenge you. We play according
to UPA rules (as much as possible, though we cut some slack to
beginners... at first anyway).

We will shortly be announcing game times for weekday evenings, and
Sundays, which are typically played same time and place, however many
players are participating in Sunday games in Westchester Spring league
this year, so that schedule is yet to be determined depending on demand.

This Saturday, April Fools day, promises to be wet and windy, perfect
conditions for the dustbowl... so bring your dry socks.
