Hey, folks.

Dave here. To those who know me a tad, this is for you. After being
unemployed for far too long, I finally got a job. From the offer date to the
start date, there wasn't much time to say goodbye, so I left NYC and moved
to southern California right off. As impersonal as an email via NYCPUL is,
it's the only medium I have.

I really enjoyed playing league and pickup (the few times I played it) over
the past two summers with you guys. It was a lot of fun meeting everyone,
playing disc, and hanging out at the Mexican restaurant that I could never
remember. I especially liked that part the most -- building an outdoorsy
community is quite difficult in NYC, so it's great when you actually have
it. I hope that somehow, someday, you'll find new fields to expand the
league to the size and quality it deserves to be, because it really spices
up life. Either case, it's a great league, and you guys have done a great
job with it.

Now I'm in the beautiful Pasadena area working for a non-profit that focuses
on bringing clean air technology to the marketplace faster than it would
normally get there (www.weststart.org), so if you ever find yourself out
this way and want to go surfing, play some disc, or go for a hike, just
email me or give me a call, and I'll be happy to join you.

Melissa, Keith, Kathy, and everyone else, thanks for everything. I'll miss
playing in the league, but I won't miss getting toasted on the fields by a
bunch of twenty-something-year-old guys over and over again. A man's gotta
have his ego, after all.

We have a few openings for players to join us this evening for
Ultimate under stadium lights at East River Park.

The field is just below Grand Street - FDR foot bridge (the 14-D bus
stops near the footbridge! the 14 A stops at the park just across the
FDR, or take the F train and walk east). Bus is very convenient and
runs frequently.

Tonight (8 p.m. - 10 p.m.) - February 6th.

Weather forecast looks perfect at mid-forties!

Please RSVP your interest. A small donation will be suggested
depending on number of nights you attend.

The first 21 players to confirm will get priority!
