Amir believed very strongly in giving back to the communities that he
was part of. In doing so, he left this world a little better than when
he found it. He began NYCPUL (New York City Public Ultimate League)
because he wanted to give back to the NYC ultimate community a league
imbued with his spirit of fun, fairplay, and the desire to have a good
game.
Sunday March 27th, members of the NYCPUL community would like to honor
his memory, by hosting the 1st Annual Amir Lopatin ("In the Spirit of
the Game") Memorial Ultimate Tournament. The first 100 registered
players at the game will receive a memorial disc designed in his honor.
The registration fee for the event is $20 and excess proceeds will go
into a scholarship fund created in Amir's honor.
Please see www.amirlopatin.com to register for this event, and for
more about Amir, or the scholarship fund.
