Commemerating Amir through the NYCPUL   Message List

To The Members of NYCPUL,

Hello, my name is Tsvi. I am a friend and former roommate of Amir
Lopatin, of blessed memory. I lived with Amir for much of time
during which he invested in building the NYCPUL into what it is
today. I remember how enthusiastically and energetically he spoke
of his love for the league that he was part of and developing in
NYC. I recall his campaign of creating t-shirts for the league, the
times he sat by his computer working on the league and thinking of
ways to improve the league, and I even recall some of the many faces
of the ultimate league circle that entered his life outside of the
field. The reason why I have chosen to communicate with the league
is that I wish to recommend that the league honor the memory and
life of Amir by changing its name to the AL-NYCPUL, The Amir Lopatin
New York City Public Ultimate League, or perhaps through the
creation of a tournament in his memory. I am sure that Amir would
have derived much pride and pleasure in knowing that his name was
commemorated by the institution that he valued so much, and I cannot
think of a more appropriate action given his instrumentality in
creating and founding the league. On a more technical side, I have
been instructed by the Lopatin family to suggest that a donation
would gladly be provided to the NYCPUL to facilitate the
commemoration of Amir in the league. If any of you would like to
communicate with me, or to pass anything along to the Lopatin family
through me, please feel free to do so.

Thank You,
Tsvi
