Hi,

I regret to inform you of the passing of Amir Lopatin, founder of
NYCPUL. Amir was killed in a tragic car accident near Las Vegas on
March 25, 2004. He was 28 years old. Amir left his job as a
computer programmer in New York to pursue a PhD in Education
Technology at Stanford. He is survived by his mother, older brother
and sister, and many friends and family.

I was Amir's girlfriend and I know how much he loved ultimate and
how proud he was of NYCPUL. Please consider renaming the league in
his honor in order to keep his memory, as well as his virtues of
love and dedication, alive.
