Once again and with great enthusiasm we are pleased to announce the 5th Annual Amir Lopatin Spirit of the Game ultimate hat tournament in Central Park. On Sunday March 29, we will gather starting at 11 AM at the familiar East Meadow (entrance at 97th St. off 5th Avenue), also known as the "dustbowl" - the traditional setting for this event. It is also the site where NYCPUL (New York City Public Ultimate League) was born, founded by Amir Lopatin in whose memory we are producing this event. As in past years, players will be randomly assigned to teams to play spirited and competitive ultimate in a hat tournament format. In addition, this year we will have a regulation disc golf baskets for pitch and putt games, and we have even invited "frisbee dogs" to this event. This event is open to players of all levels, and as in past years it is also a family event, so bring the kids and plan for a picnic.
As an additional incentive to participate this year, we have identified two very deserving organizations to be beneficiaries of this event.
