Folks,
Have any of you (other than Kevin Lee) done the New York Cycle Club's
"Escape From New York" ride before? Kevin and I did it a few years
ago. It was a blast. There are three lengths: the Century (100m), the
Metric Cent. (62m, 100k) and the half century.
It's a well organized group ride (you ride in groups of a few to 30 or
so), and the entry fee, $30 at this point, includes a huge buffet
lunch of good sandwiches, salads, PBJ, fruit, etc. You can also join
the club for a discount. The club is also cheap ($25 or so for the
year), and they have rides constantly, several per week, at all
different skill levels.
Anyway, the ride is not this Saturday, but the following one, Sept.

I'll probably go. I'm definitley not in shape for the Century, but I'd
do the half or the metric if some of you were up for it.
