The Western Regional Junior Olympic Championships is coming to Mt. Hood Meadows, March 21-24, 2002. These are the best 13 and 14 year olds in the western US, competing for Junior Olympic Gold (Super G, Giant Slalom and Slalom). This event is the stepping stone to the US Ski Team for many Olympians. Some of these young racers will go on to represent the USA at the 2010 Winter Olympics.
Mt. Hood Meadows will be needing lots of volunteers. For each day you volunteer, you will receive a day ski pass for that day and a "chit" (complimentary day pass) for another day; lunch; an official event souvenir; an invitation to the volunteer party March 24; and the gratitude of over 200 young competitors in helping them realize their Olympic dreams. Event training will be held January 19-20 and February 23-24. Training participants receive a day ski pass, lunch, and a "chit" for another day. To volunteer, please contact Mt. Hood Meadows Junior Olympics web listed below. From this web site, you will enter to volunteer.
