Update on Bachelor Blitz!!  (my apologies for those of you receiving this notice more than once!).
 
First off, NWSCC is offering the first five (5) clubs, with 15 paid members for the Blitz, will receive a Mt. Hood Meadows 10-Time Punch Pass for their club!!  In addition, one of the door prizes while at the Blitz (Saturday night function) will be one Meadows 10-Time Punch Pass. 
 
This is the LAST Bachelor Blitz trip, December 2001.  It's going to be a fun event with "black tie optional" on Saturday night.  There is a Pacrat race on Saturday, Dec 8th at Mt. Bachelor also.  Read below for details on the Blitz Weekend and Ski/Improvement Camps.  Of note this year, you will want to MAKE RESERVATIONS EARLY!!!   We will need to turn back rooms on November 20th and you want to make sure you get your reservation in.  For further informaton, please visit the NWSCC web site (www.nwskiers.org) or call Mary Olhausen at 360-892-1814.   

What Is A Bachelor Blitz?
The Bachelor Blitz, in its' 21st year, is a combination of ski/snowboard race, improvement, and never skied/snowboarded before programs, combined with a weekend of skiing/snowboarding, and a host of party and social events. This premiere event draws participants from OR, WA, & CA to kick off the Winter season. 

  • Lift Tickets:  Single Day Dated Ticket: $36.00; Two Day Dated Tickets Priced on Snow Depth For This Weekend - A Dollar An Inch!! Rate is Capped at $36.00 Per Day In The Event of Early/Heavy Snowfall.  OR, use your coupon from the Warren Miller Show.

  • Optional Activities include Ice Skating, Sleigh Rides, Sled Dog Rides, & Snowmobiling

  • The Inn of The Seventh Mountain Resort
    Our host resort this year will be The Inn of The Seventh Mountain Resort located in beautiful Bend, Oregon.  Minutes away from the mountain!

  • Getting There
    Commercial air service is available to the Redmond/Bend Airport and Amtrak trains (Coast Starlight) stop at Chemult, 65 miles south of Bend, with shuttle service to The Inn of The Seventh Mountain.

  • Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort
    Mt. Bachelor Ski Area Offers Terrain For Skiers, Snowboarders, and Cross-Country.

    • Downhill Enjoys 7 Express Chairs, Summit at 9,065 ft, a 3,365 Vertical Drop, 3,686 Acres, skiable Terrain, and Full Rental/Retail Shops.

Ski Camps
Using revolutionary ski school programs offering nine different skill levels and shaped ski technology, you are guaranteed to improve your skiing and have fun.

Never Skied/Snowboarded Program: Get started skiing/snowboarding right. After a few days in this camp you will be linking turns and well on your way to wanting to explore the sport that has changed so many people's lives! (Includes equipment rental). Let the Mt. Bachelor ski instructors get you started skiing right. Ski/Snowboard Improvement: The instructor will match you with participants of your ability and then you will receive one-on-one instruction and learn new skills to help you ski/board better, and with more confidence to tackle any type of terrain.

Ski/Snowboard Race Clinic: For the advanced competitive skier/snowboarder who wants to learn the technical aspects of racing! Let the experts show you how to shave seconds from your best times! Run gates faster than you ever thought possible!
