HIGH ADVENTURE SKI FILM AS FUNDRAISER FOR TIGARD HIGH SKI RACE TEAM - DISCOUNTS FOR YOUR GROUP AVAILABLE!
MIND THE ADDICTION, Teton Gravity’s newest extreme ski film, sponsored locally by Ski Chalet as a fundraising event for the Tigard High School Ski Race Team, will jump off the screen at Deb Fennel Auditorium in Tigard at 7:30 PM on Saturday, November 17. Taking the genre of adventure films one step further, MIND THE ADDICTION provides a thrilling look at the lives of twelve athletes as they spend a year riding mountains as far afield as Kenya. Sporting head cams, the athletes take the viewer with them into deep powder, jibbing, base jumping, skiing, and snow boarding.
All movie goers will receive a free ski magazine, Exposed, and will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for terrific ski related prizes, which last year included lift tickets and gear.
This is the second year that a Teton Gravity film has been the major fundraiser for the Tigard Ski Team, which receives no finding from the high school. Last year the Tigard Girls Race Team won first place in the Metro Ski League. With their new coach, veteran skier and racer Steve Sarich, the Tigard Team hopes for a successful movie fundraiser to enable their more than twenty members to begin training. The Team receives 100% of each ticket sale, thanks to the underwriting of Ski Chalet.
