NWSCC - MAN AND WOMAN OF THE YEAR
At Wednesday nights meeting we will be voting on the Man and/or Woman of the Year.  Please join us for this annual event for NWSCC.  All club honorees will be honored at the Council's spring event "The Snow Rose Casino Night" on May 9, 2003.  All club honorees are also eligible to become Northwest Ski Club Council's Man and Woman of the Year and represent the Northwest Council at the Far West Ski Association Convention from May 29 thru June 1 in Palm Springs, California.

On Sunday, March 30th, ski Crystal Mounain, Washington for 1/2 price!!!  Just show your FWSA card.  
 
 
SNOW ROSE'S CASINO NIGHT:
 
Friday, May 9th, 2003 will be the date for NWSCC's forst annual “Spring Fling.” This semi-formal event will be held at McMenamin's Edgefield, 2126 SW Halsey, Troutdale, in Blackberry Hall, beginning at 6:30 p.m. with a no-host bar.  There will be wine tasting and a sit-down dinner, followed by an evening of fast action at the gaming tables. We will have black jack and craps tables for your evening's enjoyment. Your winnings will lead you towards a raffle for prizes at the end of the evening.  A portion of the proceeds will go to the Mt . Hood Cultural Center & Museum. Bring your spouse or significant other! Bring your friends! This promises to be an exciting event, filled with fun, food and fast action.

 FAR WEST RACE CHAMPIONSHIPS-----or------A GREAT SKI GETAWAY WEEKEND FOR NON-RACERS.
Skiers and snow-riders of all sorts will be having fun enjoying the snow on Mt. Bachelor and partying at the Riverhouse in Bend, during the weekend of April 4-6.  This event will have several dimensions:  A chance to ski and party with fellow snow-lovers from Washington, California, Arizona, Nevada and Oregon. You don't have to be a racer, you don't even have to be a good skier. Hey, you don't even have to be a skier at all! Come learn how to ski. Or come just for the party (Saturday night, April 5)!  PACRAT racers will have their last race of the season on Saturday (April 5). Come race or come cheer our racers!  Far West Race Championships will be held.  A world-cup style Slalom (on Saturday), and a Giant Slalom (on Sunday). Must qualify--Pacrat automatically qualify, races held during the FWRA week at Big Mountain, and the Masters race organized Skiyente Ski Club.   Racing Clinics will be held on Thursday (free 2-hour clinics) and on Friday, April 4 (whole-day clinic for $45).  So, come a day early and get some training (optional) before the main event. Everything is optional. There is no "package deal". Things have been made flexible. Sign up for as much or as little as you want. Here are the elements to choose from:
 
* 2 nights lodging at the Riverhouse: $93. (Lodging is $46.50 per person per day (i.e. $93 per person for 2 nights).
* FWRA Racing fee (Slalom & GS): $35.
* Optional full day race clinic Friday: $45.
* Discounted lift tickets only $33. (Racers, non-racers, and family)
* Saturday night Awards Party: $20.

Timberline Ski Resort - A weekend with Jeanne Thoren - March 28-30, 2003

This is a very special Weekend with Nationally renowned women's equipment expert Jeannie Thoren. Jeannie knows first hand the challenges women face in achieving proper equipment set-up. Sometimes just a few subtle, but critical, adjustments to a skiers exisiting equipment will produce immediate results. PNSA CHAMPIONSHIPS - MT. BACHELOR, OREGON:
Mt. Bachelor Ski Education Foundations brings you the PNSA Championships.  Any skier, 21 years or older, may enter the PNSA Championships to be held at Mt. Bachelor, April 10-13. 
     April 10 - Super G Training on Cliffhanger trail
            11 - Super G on Cliffhanger, choice of 1 or 2 races
            12 - GS on Thunderbird trail
            12 - Dinner and Awards at Widgi Creek Golf Club
            13 - SL on Thunderbird
