The Mt. Hood Cultural Center and Museum - SKI THE GLADE DAY - March 1, 2003
Do you remember when the last run of the day from Timberline took you all the way to Government Camp? “Let’s take the Glade” was a familiar call for years to many, many skiers on Mt. Hood. Years have passed, however, since the Glade Trail has been open to recreational skiers, but the memories live on!
The Mt. Hood Cultural Center and Museum, in cooperation with the Forest Service, is presenting
"Ski the Glade Day", a Museum fundraising event March 1, 2003. This unique opportunity will allow skiers to relive the unique experience of skiing the Glade Trail and introduce new skiers to this historical activity. Ski the Glade Day will include a continuous shuttle to Timberline, groomed trail, local trail guides, ski patrol services, a hearty lunch at the Museum, an après ski party, an action photo, and much more! This event is organized under a special use permit from the USDA Forest Service, Mt. Hood National Forest and in partnership with Timberline Lodge. Luxury Accommodations is providing shuttle service, and special ski equipment rental packages are available from Valians’ Ski Shop.
Space is limited and reservations are required, so don’t miss the opportunity to “Take the Glade” once again. Event tickets are $150 each, of which $100 is tax deductible. Call the Museum at 503-272-3301 with your name, address, phone number, and number of reservations to hold your spot. Proceeds from the Ski the Glade Day fund raiser will directly support operations at the Museum.
