COCAAN Free Ski Day Starts WinterFest At Mt. Bachelor - Friday,  January 31st.

Deschutes Cardboard Sled Race Highlights Saturday Events

Bend, Ore. — Donating three cans of food will get guests a free Mt. Bachelor lift ticket on Friday, January 31, but that is just the start of a fun-filled weekend on the Mountain that includes a Slopestyle competition, cardboard sled race and torchlight parade.

Saturday, February 1 is the second Mountain Dew Slopestyle contest for skiers and snowboarders of all ages.  Hundreds of competitors in four different age and sport categories will compete for cash and prizes in the Slopestyle Arena at West Village.  Also, Saturday is the annual favorite Deschutes Brewery Cardboard Sled Race.  Starting at 3:30 PM sleds driven by “dummies” will compete in either the Family or Corporate Divisions.  Entry forms are available at www.mtbachelor.com.  Immediately following the race spectators can enjoy the spectacle of the Mt. Bachelor Ski School Torchlight Parade on the Thunderbird Run.

WinterFest on Mt. Bachelor includes plenty for the kids, too.  The Family Fun zone has face painting, a snowslide, snowman building contest and more.  On Sunday everyone receives $3 off any Snowblast Tubing park ticket with each WinterFest button purchased.

For more information please visit www.mtbachelor.com or call 800-829-2442.
