Hi everyone. We are kicking off our regular pulling season in Virginia
on April 7th. We would like to invite anyone from anywhere that loves
the sport of pulling to come join us and try out our first class sled
and pulling organization. Our goal is to become the best pulling club
on the east coast. We have classes that will just about fit any
tractor you may have to pull. We have classes from 6 year old juniors
up to 4 cylinder car engines and everything in between. Some of our
classes may have different names than what some of you may be
accustomed to but you will find a spot for your tractor, I am almost
positive. Stock Altereds, Pro Altereds, Super Stocks, Pro Stocks, 30
Cubes, Open Super Stocks, etc. can all fit into our Modified
divisions. Check out the rules and cubic inch class you fit in. Our
Super Modified classes will encompass about any motorcycle, compact
diesel, or automobile engine tractors short of v8's. We even have a
Hot Stock class for those that like to do a "little something" to
their tractors that may be deemed "illegal" in most clubs. We have a
class just for your style of tractor. Just make sure you have a
4,000rpm limit governor on it. Check out those classes as well. We
would love to invite anyone to be a member but membership is not
required to pull with us. If you are looking for a non-intimidating,
fun-to-pull-with club, then this is it. Visit us at
www.blueridgemountainpullers.com and feel free to email or call me for
more information. I will give you my number upon request. We have
about a dozen sponsored pulls already and more may be in the works.
Thanks.

seems strange again. the auction was removed by e-bay. I would be
careful if it shows up again.

Greg, I checked out the auction & I don't think it's a scam. It's a private
auction. Freight Train (model 582 Cub Cadet) tractor has been around for a long
time. Julian Stahl was the original builder & owner of that tractor. His
older son used to pull it. It's a very competitive tractor & it actually pulls
like a freight train. It pulled my sled for several years here in Missouri until
the second owner decided to sell it to someone out of state.

Looks like someone is still trying to scam buyers on eBay into buying
the "Freight Train" 30 cube tractor. This time their account was set
up on the day of the auction beginning and they are keeping the
bidders ID's a secret. This is dirty. They know that we can't contact
the bidders to warn them. If you or anyone else is bidding on this
tractor please don't. I am nearly positive it is a scam......FOR THE
3RD TIME, IN FACT! I don't want to see anyone have their money taken
for no reason. If someone doesn't think this auction is a scam, please
let me know. I don't want to be giving out false info but it smells
like a scam to me. The bidding is up to $1,000 already so someone is
getting close to being taken. Stuff like this infuriates me. The eBay
auction number is 180072751055 if you want to confirm that it is a
scam. I am not sure how to approach this with eBay since it is not my
item.

It's questionable at the moment, my son runs and programs the CNC
machining center after I design parts and he's working lots of overtime
at his job and I keep getting waylaid on other projects. Working on the
reverser input drop box right now, keep changing the design and started
over with different gears and offsets so I now don't need to run a
driveshaft with high dollar/ high speed u-joints (which I already have
here). My motor sits low and tranny sits high and stuff lines right up
now. Diesel motors just don't line up with the cub rearend. Have a
homemade billet flywheel with clutch partially built into it. I took
the drive train to a fair this year and it seemed to draw a lot of
attention but some of this stuff I have a ton of 3D design hours and
machining programming and don't just want everybody's eyes on it
uncovered yet. We'll see.

Also if I read this right there are no 2 barrel carbs on Friday but
you can run a 2 barrel manifold with a 1" single carb on a Briggs only.

Well you would think that someone out there would be able to anserw the question
on the rule, heck I for one was told stock oem carb.. the two barrel is a stock
oem.. Most of the guys that pull down here used either 1.2 or twin carbs, so we
bought the two barrel due to it being easy to switch out for day two.. The way
it looks is we will only be able to pull day two.. Along way to travel for one
hook, but we will do what we have to do ...thanks ED

I spoke with Don Sample at the Princeton, IN NQS pull. He told me
(more than once) that they are going to let the factory 2 barrel carb
and manifold run on the Friday V-Twin class and on Saturday, its
pretty much wide open on heads and carbs for the V-Twins. But I too
have not seen anything in print for sure.

Thanks Julian

I know there are several members on here from tri county pullers.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the support for Mike
Garringer's loss this past summer. Mike made several comments about
how we are competetive on the track, but we always support each other.
Mike has been a dear friend and I have spent many hours in the past
years in his shop. I look forward to many more years pulling with him
and picking up just a little of his vast knowlege about these mighty
little pulling machines.

I have yet to see this years rules in print but I wouldn't see why
not. Last year it was C12 gas only and you had to have a dry fuel
system and they supplied the gas and put it in your tractor.
Hopefully we can all find out the rules soon, If anybody knows for
sure, fill us in please.
