It's been quietly all year I am afraid to say. I think people joined
the group, but once there they couldn't find it again. Some people
never have seen the pics, or links, or the files or anything to do
with the fan group. They get the message board stuff, but that is
it. If anyone wants to find us, please go to
shttp://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/novavikes/
and just sign in with the password you signed up with and presto you
are in the group a little after that.
On the point of changing our NOVAVIKES location, I am 100% interested
in a new place. I don't want to go back and think the group would be
best located in a more centralized location like we had at "Fast
Eddies 2". It is unfortunate that we have to do this, but S & S
never made a commitment to us for the long haul. I think it's mostly
due to the inability to afford a new TV. I wish Sean and Dana the
best and a big heap of thanks, but it is time to think of the group
and not just the comfort of a few people.
We need to look into Hotel Sports Bars for an alternative. They tend
not to draw anyone but guests of the hotel and we would a very
attractive commodity to them every week. If anyone knows a place
with plenty of TVs, seats and doesn't draw much on Sundays, then
please alert the group so we can look into it. I want the group to
consider "The Flight Deck" which is located at a Days Inn in Herndon
on Elden Street, 1 block from the Toll Road (RT 267). I went there
on a Sunday for a quick look and it was dead as can be, and it had a
whole lot of TVs. They have a Sunday Buffet, but it doesn't appear
to draw crowds after the football hour. The place is very accessible
and has lots of restaurant space to watch the game. If anyone has
ever gone there and would like to add their 2 cents please do so.
The draft would make or break the trade. If we get Edwards which we
won't get unless by a miracle or another draft trade or we get Mike
Williams, then I think we get lots of quality in return for Moss.
Not enuff as Joel pointed out, but someone that can make an immediate
impact to our WRs corps. Mike Williams is a true gem, and we might
get lucky to get him. If we end up without one of the 2 WRs, the
trade was a big bust, and we should trade the pick and move down for
more picks. I'm off to work, adios.
