This Board has been way too Quiet!!! I expected to see rants and raves about
the Moss trade... So I'll start things off by throwing my 2 cents in.
In my opinion it was a stupid trade. And the Vikings pulled the trigger way too
soon, and got too little in return for Moss. If they had waited just one month
they could have had multiple teams bidding for Moss. Possibly the Dolphins,
Jets, Cowboys, Redskins, Ravens and Moss' new home with the Raiders.
Oakland 1st Round pick at #7 could be a good thing. If the Vikings decide to use
the pick to replace Moss and 1 of the top 2 receivers is there. (I think
Williams will be a stud and I hope this is who the Vikes take.) Does anyone
think that Brayland Edwards or Mike Williams will catch 13 TD passes next year.
Defensively there are good players out there (I think Derrick Johnson could be
awesome) but I think value can be had later in Round 1 espescially at the Corner
position.
Napolean Harris is about the same as E.J, the only good thing I can say is that
he has 1 more year of playing experience.
Remember Claiborne is a free agent. If the Vikes don't resign him, Or bring in
a starting Linebacker... the starting Linbackers could be Harris, Henderson, and
Thomas...A scary thought.
And a late round pick...If this had been a 3rd or 4th round pick the Vikings may
have been able to squeeze some valu out of it.
More to come later as Free agency heats up...And I do a little more reading on
some of the college players elegible for the Draft.
As far as weather we'll be at Stars and Stripes again.. I'm up in the air and am
willing to look at other places. I'm not opposed to staying at Sars and
Stripes. But, my opinion is that they will not get TV(s) for the middle of the
room. And I don't think it is fair to have about 35-40% of the room trying to
watch a 27 inch TV from 50 feet away. Feel free to e-mail me directly.
Thanks
Joel
