Vikings second attempt at landing QB seems to take   Message List

Sage is now the man!

Viking Fans,

I am not absolutely thrilled about the Vikings trading for Sage,
since he is a second tier NFL QB. The Vikes are trying to fill this
critical need on the cheap, but I can't blame the Z-Man since the
state of Minnesota has done nothing to get a new stadium for the
team. However, Sage is an NFL quality QB and much better than what
we have suffered through over the past three years. Let me explain
futher as I prepare for the emotional outcry from Al and others who
have been blind supporters of one of the biggest failed experiments
in team history.

Sage will be the best QB of the Vikes since Daunte's better days and
thankfully the T-Jack project is done. T-Jack is on the last year of
his contract and the Vikes have made no moves to make a new deal.
Think Chilly has finally realized the truth, and the Z-Man
wants/needs to win now. The Vikes have several veterans on this team
that are at the top of their game and can't waste more years on a
failed project. We had more than our fair share of Pro Bowlers and
outstanding players but were doomed in the playoffs due to a horrid
performance from T-Jack against the Eagles. T-Jack never had it and
never will - he will be off the team at the end of next season and
will be lucky to stay in the NFL much longer with another team. He
should have never been in the NFL in the first place if it had not
been for the Vikings bad decision. He possesses some raw skills but
lacks the most important ingredients for being a quality NFL QB: 1)
Intelligence, 2) Poise and Confidence, 3) Leadership, and 4)
Accuracy.

Lets all be thankful that the experiment of mixing raw goods with
limited intangibles into a quality NFL is now practically dead. Lets
be thankful that the Vikes now have a QB with the
necessary/critical/minimum skills to get the job done.

GO VIKES!!!
