FYI,

I stopped by Stars and Stripes (soon to be the Tortoise and Hare) briefly today
and spoke
with Dana, one of the new owners and Joe (former bartender and new manager).
They were in the middle of a health inspection so it was a very brief
conversation.

All three said we (NOVA VIKES) will be welcomed back after 22 Aug with open
arms.

This will still be a Viking bar!!! The new owner definitely wants us back.

One major change is the new wall where the buffet line used to be. It is on
that wall that
the big screen will be set up. Not too sure where or if there will be other TVs
in the dining
area. They may use the patio to show other games (with no or low volume), but
the Viking
game will be on the restaurant sound system (as was the case last year, TVs
around the
bar will show other games).

The entire dining area will be devoted to our group (as it was in the past).

Dana characterized the coming improvements as a "1000 percent better."

So... We can look forward to finding "new" favorite tables/viewing locations
for the upcoming season and enjoying a new menu.

I'm sure there will be more info after the 22nd, but all appears well for
the upcoming NFL season.
