Well Rusty you said a mouthful. You would certainly fit in over at the Purple
Tthoughts messageboard over at the VikingsUpdate website. This messageboard
doesn't get the same hits in a year than that board gets in a one hour offseason
football day. It is the heaviest trafficked NFL messageboard on the web and we
are one crazy bunch of fans there. You all should check it out sometime. One
of the moderators gets some juicy scoops from some inside nfl source that he
posts time to time. Another guy is friends with an espn source and get some
stuff from him too. Mostly it is a place we go to vent and speculate. I am on
there a few days a week.

This is the first time as a Viking fan since Steckel was the coach that I feel
non-enthusiasic about our team. It trickles down from the coach and the
lackluster approach the team takes to make us a winner. Or at least making us
believe we are a winner. If we draft Quinn I will feel like our 2006 draft was
a waste of time. You take 2 3rd round draft picks trade them away to move up
and take a guy who wasn't going to be drafted to the 4th round perhaps and then
give up on him? Makes me sick. So we start over a 2nd time with Quinn? Why
was Zygi there watched Quinn workout if they weren't considering him? Where are
the WRs? Curtis? We can't even entice him over Detroit? Detroit for heaven's
sake.

I will be more optimistic as time goes, but right now I think us Viking fans
need something to rally around. Calvin Johnson, Fitzgerald, a surprise free
agent or trade to pump us up. Its bad right now. I look forward to seeing all
your ugly mugs again at the draft party.
