As my buddy Al would say (and has several times) -- we're far too
quiet
on this site!

Or is everyone as bummed as I am at the way things are going?

I did it again this year -- went into the free agent period reading
everything I could, wishing what could be, who could they get ... and
then the money miracle occurred at the last minute pushing the
Viking's
cap room from $12M to over $30M!!! Oh the Joy, the Hope!! Even
started
to clear next year's calendar in late Jan and early Feb and think
about
which jersey to get (have to - in my closet I have Moss, Culpepper,
Wiggins, Kleinsasser -- he's a gonner). But now we'll have Graham at
TE, Bennett and/or Curtis at WR, Kerney at DE, Garcia at QB, Harper
as
the 3rd CB and the big banana -- OG / OT Eric Steinbach! The Vikes
are
back!!

Then reality crashed in ... has ANYONE ever heard of the 2 guys they
took (what's their names, Coocoo and Shinbone?)

Zygi must dump that shoe clerk of a coach (apologies to Al Bundy, who
we all know was an outstanding football player in high school and
clearly knows more than "Chillers"). I have zero confidence in that
guy and can see why Curtis left town without a deal (Childress has 1%
the charisma of the GEICO Gecko). Can you imagine a guy actually
wanting to be the 3rd receiver for DETROIT when the Vikes offered him
to be #1??? What the hell does that say?

Oh, I know I'm going too far. And yeah, that's right, that's the
ticket ... we have the draft to look forward to and we'll surely have
our hopes soar in late April. Right?

But I'll certainly be at S&S for our yearly draft party ... it's one
(of many) things that sets a Vikings fan apart from a Redskin fan.
The
Deadskin fans believe the hype every year and consider it blasphemy
to
criticize Gibbs, the players, even Danny Boy. True Viking fans bitch
and moan ... and keep coming back for more. It's cause we love the
purple and gold (and white)and most of all -- the other like-minded
zealots that call themselves Vikings fans.

Sooo ... I'm really looking forward to sitting around at the S&S
draft
party and commiserating with my buddies. Al, Joel, Stan, Keith, John
and the brothers -- can't wait to see you guys in April.
