A comment in a blog from Brandon Funston, aka one of the Yahoo's.

Ladies and gents,
Let me set the record straight as much as I possibly can. The plan is
for us to launch next week. As I mentioned in a previous post, we have
some new features for this season and care is being taken that we
launch without any hiccups. Just to give you an idea of some of those
features:
Keeper leagues
Mock drafts
Expanded playoff options
Custom draft order
Draft applet that debuted in football
There's more, but that's a sampling. Ideally, we'd launch without
having to give a specific date because you never know when last-minute
details are going to bite you in the butt. But clearly the desire for
some kind of clarity within this blog is running high. So, if
everything goes according to plan, we'll be live mid-week of the
coming week.
If the need to draft a league now and sit on it for two months is so
great that you're willing to switch allegiances to another company,
well that's a shame. We'd hope that a few extra days in early February
is not the basis by which you decide which product to use.
Ok, so that's the official unofficial word. The Brad Evans inposter
early on in this mock that said we'd be live on Feb. 5 had no clue
what he was talking about.

Subject: A WEIRD History lesson!!

!!

History Mystery

Have a history teacher explain this----- if they can.

Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.

Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.
John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.

Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.
Both wives lost their children while living in the White House.

Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.
Both Presidents were shot in the head

Now it gets really weird.

Lincoln 's secretary was named Kennedy.
Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln .

Both were assassinated by Southerners.
Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson.

Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808.
Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.

John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839.

Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born

in 1939.

Both assassins were known by their three names.
Both names are composed of fifteen letters.

Now hang on to your seat.

Lincoln was shot at the theater named 'Ford'.
Kennedy was shot in a car called ' Lincoln ' made by 'Ford'.

Lincoln was shot in a theater and his assassin ran and hid in a warehouse.
Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and his assassin ran and hid in a theater.

Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.

And here's the kicker...

A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe , Maryland
A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe.

WHO FIGURED THIS OUT?

INCREDIBLE
1) Fold a NEW $20 bill in half...

2) Fold again, taking care to fold it exactly as below

3) Fold the other end, exactly as before

4) Now, simply turn it over...

What a coincidence! A simple geometric fold creates a catastrophic premonition printed on all $20 bills!!!

COINCIDENCE?

YOU DECIDE

As if that wasn't enough...

Here is what you've seen...

Firstly
The Pentagon on fire...

Then
 The  Twin Towers.

..And now .. look at this!

TRIPLE COINCIDENCE ON A SIMPLE $20 BILL

Disaster (Pentagon)
Disaster ( Twin Towers )
Disaster (Osama)???

It gets even better 9 + 11 = $20!

Creepy huh? Send this to as many people as you can, cause:

Hey, this is one history lesson most people probably will not mind reading!

New year...new news. Be the first to know what is making headlines.

I will be up on Thursday. I will have my truck that can fit 3 others.
More in the bed if you want to go that route:) I will be available for
pickup duty on Thursday, I would just need to know times.

Randy and I are driving up on Friday morning from LA.  What are the plans for transportation?  5 can fit in Randy's car, but he certainly doesn't want to be a primary chauffeur picking up and dropping off people on the Strip.  Also, we won't be there to pick up and drop off on Thursday evening.  We all need to get to the Champion's dinner as well, if we're going OUT somewhere.  Since the Bass don't reply, we get to pick, right?  ~~Meatballs

Along with Spilde, I too now have booked plane tickets.  My work schedule forced me to leave Thursday evening so I won't be on the ground until 11:00PM, so I will be there Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.  If we are booking for four or more nights, count me in to cover my share of the night(s) I am not there.

I'll 2nd the motion that Terry's place looks good too, but it oddly looks
familiar.

Looking forward to the Draft!

I think 9 have committed to the house in one form or another.
Vic not in the house (& not offering to pull some strings for all of us to stay
free. just kidding)(it would be cool though)
Greg is a maybe; and we haven't heard anything from Boss Bass..............

Is the Champ alive??

http://www.fantasybaseballdugout.com/hot-wives-baseball/

Have we made any progress on our plans for lodging???

What is with the silent treatment from the Champ?

Based on what I'm hearing (very sorry to hear about your employment
situation, Greg), it may be prudent to shoot for under the $50 per
night per person.

We can do some more searching, but here's a quick one I found:

http://www.vrbo.com/199277

$150/night .. $200/weekend night .. $1000-$1500/week$25 charge for
number of people over 8Holidays- Extra $Cleaning fee $250/$500.

$200 per weekend night plus $25 extra per person would work out to
about $25 per night per person, plus about $25 each for the cleaning
fee if that's required.

There's no pool at this one, but based on living in a warm-weather
climate, the pool is unusable until about May because it's still too
cold.

Finally, the guys' side of the story. ( I must admit, it's pretty good.)

We always hear 'the rules' From the female side ...Now here are the rules from the male side.

These are our rules!
Please note.. these are all numbered '1 '
ON PURPOSE!

1.   Men are NOT mind readers.

1. Learn to work the toilet seat. You're a big girl. If it's up, put it down. We need it up, you need it down.
You don't hear us complaining about you leaving it down.

1. Sunday sports It's like the full moon or the changing of the tides. Let it be.

1. Crying is blackmail.

1. Ask for what you want. Let us be clear on this one:
Subtle hints do not work!
Strong hints do not work!
Obvious
hints do not work!
Just say it!

1. Yes and No are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every question.

1. Come to us with a problem
only if you want help solving it. That's what we do. Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for.

1. Anything we said 6 months ago is inadmissible in an argument. In fact, all comments become Null and void after 7 Days.

1. If you think you're fat, you probably are.
Don't ask us.

1. If something we said can be interpreted two ways and one of the ways makes you sad or angry, we meant the
  other one

1. You can either ask us to do something Or tell us how you want it done.  Not both. If you already know best how to do it, just do it yourself.

1. Whenever poss ible, Please say whatever you have to say during commercials..

1. Christopher Columbus did
NOT need directions and neither do we.

1. ALL men see in only 16 colors, like Windows default settings. Peach, for example, is a fruit, not
A color. Pumpkin is also a fruit. We have no idea what mauve is.

1. If it itches, it
will be scratched..
We do that.

1. If we ask what is wrong and you say 'nothing,' We will act like nothing's wrong. We know you are lying, but it is just not worth the hassle.

1. If you ask a question you don't want an answer to, E xpect an answer you don't want to hear.

1. When we have to go somewhere, absolutely anything you wear is fine...
Really.

1. Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless you are prepared to discuss such topics as baseball or
motor sports

1. You have enough clothes.

1. You have too many shoes.

1. I am in shape.
 Round IS a shape!

1. Thank you for reading this.

Yes, I know, I have to sleep on the couch tonight;
But did you know men really don't mind that? It's like camping.

Pass this to as many men as you can - to give them a laugh.

Pass this to as many women as you can -
to give them a bigger laugh

Has any site been picked yet?  I know that we talked about a house?  Terry & I were researching a little bit and here is one option for us.  http://www.vrbo.com/178001
Karl seemed to be the master of vacation rentals when we were talking.  Just trying  to get us thinking about spring, since we are getting dumped on with snow and freezing temps.
