Dates for the diary - fuller details will be placed on web site over
next few months:

MICK MULLINEAUX STABLE VISIT – PLEASE NOTE NEW DATE
SUNDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER

NWRC members/supporters are invited on this stable visit at
Tarporley, Cheshire on Sunday Morning with an optional pub lunch
thereafter.

This is a yard we have not visited before and with around 30 horses
in the yard should provide a good deal of interest.
The usual booking fee of £4 Full members and £5 guests will apply
and when booking please advise if you are interested in the Sunday
lunch at a nearby hostelry! A 1st class SAE will be appreciated when
applying plus a contact phone number/e mail address in case of late
changes.

2005 ARC TRIPS

A number of members have enquired about trips to this year's Arc De
Triomphe meeting in Paris.

Two specialist trip providers used by NWRC still have limited
availability – but hurry if you want to be sure of places!

Kathy Hook (Media Offers) is running a 4 day Tour by coach from the
North West at a cost of £199 (based on two sharing) with coach/ferry
transport, 3 nights hotel (B&B basis) at Nanterre, 15 mins from City
Centre and optional Paris tour included.

AINTREE DISCOUNTS

NWRC members are again able to pre-book tickets for Aintree's
October/November meetings (including the November joint meeting with
Haydock) at discounted prices.

For these meetings Aintree has a single admission ticket allowing
access to all stands.

Prices are as follows:

October 22nd and 23rd
£13.00 per day if purchased prior to 30th September
£16.00 per day after this date and on the day
£24.00 for two-day ticket (must be pre-purchased)

November 20th
£13.00 per ticket if purchased prior to 31st October
£16.00 per ticket after this date and on the day

Two-day ticket promotion with Haydock (November 19th)
Option One - £24 – Aintree admission and Tattersalls Enclosure at
Haydock
Option Two - £30 – Aintree admission and County Enclosure at Haydock

Both of the above options can be purchased from Aintree and Haydock

As usual, accompanied children aged 16 and under are admitted free.

SEPTEMBER COMPETITION

Thanks to Chester Racecourse who have donated a prize of the 2005
Travelling The Turf Annual (hardback). Besides information on every
UK racecourse including local hotels & pubs, the annual includes
hundreds of racing art prints and is a book that all members should
want to own!

To enter just answer the question below:

At Chester what is the longest race that can be run over a single
circuit of the track?

Is it:

a) 7 furlongs
b) 7.5 furlongs
c) 1 mile.

Entries can be sent to NWRC by post at 53 Dalebrook Rd, Sale,
Cheshire M33 3LB or by e mail at nwrc@... Closing date Sept
30th when winner will be drawn from correct entries received.

All entries to be received by e mail on/before Sept 30th 2005.

All correct entries will go into the hat to draw a winner.
