NWRC E Mail Update 3 July 2005

NWRC Summer Racedays

The club has arranged sponsored race days at Chester, Carlisle and
Haydock Park – full details are shown below – if you wish to attend
you will be most welcome and for those who haven't yet got involved
with the pre & post race presentations this is your chance!

The first one is at Chester on Friday 8th July when we shall be
supporting a race on the card at this evening fixture. We are
looking for volunteers to assist with BTO & post race
presentations . If interested please phone/text to Phil Evans on
07861 334852 (no e mails please as will not be able to pick up next
week).

A week later we are at Carlisle on Friday (afternoon) 15th July when
we are again supporting a race on the card. Again we are looking for
volunteers to assist with BTO & post race presentations . If

Moving on we are at Haydock on Thurs (eve) August 11th. For this
meeting we have a private room in the Tommy Whittle Stand with a
cash bar available. Also this night we are able to give members the
chance to watch a race with the racecourse judge from his box to see
how things are done at first hand. Again we are looking for
volunteers to assist with BTO & post race presentations . If

badges for this meeting can be obtained at a reduced price of £16pp-
please send orders + 1st class SAE at least 1 week before the
meeting to NWRC at 53 Dalebrook Rd, Sale, M33 3LB. contact the club
unless the tickets haven't arrived a couple of days before the
meeting!

Haydock Park – 13th July Meeting

Haydock Park is offering a special 2 for 1 admission to NWRC members
for this additional fixture on Wednesday evening, 13th July.

The offer applies to all enclosures i.e. Newton Stand, Tattersalls
and
Members.

To qualify you must pre-book your tickets at least 1 week in advance
by phoning the Haydock sales office on 01942 402 624.

Monday 15th August – YORK EBOR PREVIEW
Venue to be announced shortly.

DEAUVILLE FESTIVAL, Normandy

18th-22nd August 2005

5 day break only £289 Single room supplement: £59

Combine 2 days' racing with a break by the sea on the beautiful
Normandy coast. Deauville is a smart resort with great restaurants
and entertainment. The tour also takes in a visit to the quaint port
of Honfleur, and there is an optional excursion to a cider farm with
tasting.

Travel is by comfortable executive coach with toilet, video and
reclining seats.

Our hotel is the 3 star Hostellerie du Vallon, and accommodation is
on a bed and breakfast basis.

MARTIN MULLINEAUX STABLE VISIT –
SUNDAY 11TH SEPTEMBER
NWRC members are invited on this stable visit at Tarporley, Cheshire
on Sunday Morning with an optional pub lunch thereafter.
This is a yard we have not visited before and with around 30 horses
in the yard should provide a good deal of interest.
The stable is perhaps best remembered for Lady Boxer who won the Ayr
Silver cup in 2000 and was something of a Chester specialist – with
the Ayr meeting taking place the following week maybe there is scope
to find another big stable winner when we visit?
The usual booking fee of £4 Full members and £5 guests will apply
and when booking please advise if you are interested in the Sunday
lunch at a nearby hostelry! A 1st class SAE will be appreciated when
applying plus a contact phone number/e mail address in case of late
changes.

SEPT 17th – Ayr Gold Cup Trip


Lesley Lowe is putting together a great trip on Saturday Sept 17th
to one of Ayr's show piece meetings of the year when most of the
country's top sprint handicappers will be on duty.

The trip comprises luxury coach travel from Carlisle Racecourse and
Tattersalls ticket and costs approx £25 (subject to final numbers ).

To ensure the trip is successful Lesley is also offering the trip to
Carlisle Racegoers so to reserve your place please contact Lesley at
21 Freer St, Carlisle, CA2 5JX stating number of places required and
a deposit of £15pp payable to NWRC.

Let's give this new initiative our support and book your place as
soon as possible! For those living outside Carlisle parking will be
available at the coach pick up place.

October 14-16th – NEWMARKET CHAMPIONS MEETING TRIP
