NWRC Cheltenham Preview - Haydock Park 7.45pm Monday March 14th

The biggest race meeting of the year! Join the NWRC preview night
with a panel of leading racing pundits to guide the audience through
the first ever four day festival card. Leading racing author John
Morris (Jumping Prospects) and professional punter Mark Daly are
already confirmed guests for the event.

At Haydock the meeting takes place in the Whittle Suite where a cash
bar is available all evening.

Entrance costs £5 for NWRC full members and £6 for all others.

The Cheltenham Festival is also the first Round of the 2005 Alex
Bird Tipping Challenge with valuable cash prizes available. It costs

Carlisle Raceday - Sunday 17th April

The first of our two race days at Carlisle this year. Whether you
need badges or not you are welcome to volunteer to assist with the
pre race BTO judging or post race presentations – please e mail to
nwrc@... if you would like to assist in this way and your
name will go in the hat.

This meeting is the `family day' format on a Sunday and to keep in
the spirit of the meeting we are arranging a group booking for the
Cumbrian Punters Package as below:

Flat Owners Group 2005

We still have availability in the 2005 syndicate to either buy/lease
shares in two unraced 2yo's. The horses will be trained by Bobby
Elliott at Formby and the syndicates will be managed via Paul

Would you like to write an article for the NWRC monthly magazine? We
are always looking for new contributors and if you'd like to submit
something for consideration please contact Ken Unworth (editor) on

We are also looking to open two new web pages shortly
entitled `Racing Accommodation Guide' and `Racegoers Good Pub
Guide' - the former for good reasonably priced accommodation and the
latter good value eating places to visit before/after racing at any
racecourses in the UK. Please submit items for the web sites to
nwrc@...

If you have any suggestions for racing trips and stable visits etc
that you would like the club to consider please also send
