NWRC E Mail Update - May 13th
Making The Odds Meeting - Tuesday May 18th
The next club meeting takes place at the Victoria Hotel, Newton Le
Willows (about 5
mins from Haydock Island on M6). For those who do not know Craig
Reid he is the
Tote's main odds compiler so his talk on how they make their books
and when to look for
good value on the betting front will be invaluable to those who like
a flutter!
The meeting should be more `intimate' than the normal preview nights
with plenty of
opportunity to ask questions from `the floor'.
Start time is 7.45pm with admission £3pp - light buffet included/
Bangor Raceday - Saturday May 15th
We still have the opportunity for a couple more volunteers to assist
with the BTO
selections and post race presentations if anyone can make Bangor on
Saturday.
For those who pre booked badges the two free tickets were won by Ray
Allmark and the
free Tote vouchers by Paul Willoughby.
Flat Owners Group - Meeting Saturday May 22nd
The flat owners group members have the opportunity to view the
yearling filly we expect
to lease next year, assuming all progresses OK over the next winter.
The filly is bred by
Komaite out of Miss Fit, a prolific sire in his time with the mare
being a good winning
sprinter trained in the yard.
The meeting takes place at Geraldine Rees's stables at Sollom (Nr
Preston) at 11.30am
with racing at nearby Haydock in the afternoon.
If you are not already registered with the owners group you will be
welcome to attend,
without commitment, but please contact me beforehand
(nwrc@...) in case
arrangement change at last minute.
