5 Furlongs Listed Stakes for 2yo Fillies (50%): Only run 4 times to date. A
common theme so far has been that all also won LTO (within 12-28 days) and were
well supported at odds of 6/1 or shorter. On limited data so far a low draw
(stalls 1-4) appears to be a disadvantage.
1M 4F Handicap for 4yo+ (n/a): New race in 2007. Both winners had similar traits
having run twice in current season, finishing 2nd LTO, and being drawn in stall
9. Both also carried similar weights (8st7lbs and 8st 8lbs)and were 5yo.
1M 6F Yorkshire Cup (Gr 2) for 4yo+ (30%): An interesting trend has developed
over the last 4 years with the runner up in the previous year going on to win
the following season - Royal And Regal is bidding to make this 5 years on the
trot! A low draw (stalls 1-3) appears a slight advantage with stall 2 faring
best with 3 wins. Going back to 1986 no winner has won the race more than once
thus followers of Geordieland and Percussionist beware!
1 Mile Listed Stakes for 3yo - M Seely Memorial (0%): Only run three times being
a new race in 2006. Common trends to date are a first three finish on last
outing as well as being reasonably well backed at odds of 15/2 or shorter.
5 Furlong Handicap for 3yo (n/a): New race in 2007. A common theme in first two
races was that winner finished 2nd LTO albeit no runners with this form in 2009.
Both also carried between 9st and 9st 3lbs with SP's of between 4/1 and 6/1.
6 Furlong Handicap for 4yo+ (3%): A weak race for favourites. No strong draw
advantage albeit stalls 6 & 12 have provided three winners each in last 10
years. 6yo are the preferred age group with five wins followed by 4yo with four
wins. Lowest weight carried by any past winner was 8st 7lbs.
1M 4F handicap for 3yo (40%): New race in 2003. All past winners have finished
3rd or better LTO within last 6-24 days. No draw advantage seen. Highest weight
varried by a previous winenr was 9st 4lbs.
