DISCOUNT CARD SCHEME 2009

NRC members who have renewed subs will have noticed already that we have not
produced the plastic discount cards this year but have instead reverted to the
old style paper based membership cards.

The UKRC scheme peaked at 2000 cards in 2007 but had dropped to 1000 cards in
2008 as several clubs and courses did not renew their involvement. Indeed as the
credit crunch has taken grip we are seeing a number of schemes that offer much
more attractive discounts than our scheme thus to some degree the cards are no
longer as useful as previously.

What we will do is to ask our local courses to continue to accept the NRC cards
where possible and print a list of courses continuing in a future edition of
Racin plus on the web site
