Morning,
Not much has happened in the last week due to the heavy snow &
frost. It's been a frustrating time as our horses have missed some
good opportunities but there is little we can do bar being patient.
We do have some balls to juggle with our mares & novices but my
thanks, once again, must go to all the owners with Let's Live Racing
for their understanding.
Here are our updated running plans......
DANSIMAR - It looks unlikely that Wetherby will race on Monday so
she'll have a choice of 2 races later in the week. These are at
Wincanton (Sat 14th) for a 0-135 2m6f handicap or Hereford (Sun 15th)
for a 0-125 2m4f handicap. She can cope with very soft ground which
does help as that's all we are likely to get for a while.
OSCAR JACK - he is in good form so has two handicap chase entries
planned. Firstly at Market Rasen (Mon 16th) 2m4f 0-120 and then at
Towcester (Sun 22nd) 2m3f 0-115. Both venues were waterlogged last
week so we need to see a few drying days.
ASTURIENNE - she missed a race at Huntingdon yesterday so we now re-
route to Fakenham (Fri 13th) for another Mares bumper in the EBF
series. If for any reason that meeting is abandoned she'll head
directly to Doncaster (28th Feb) or Sandown (7th Mar) for one of the
more valuable bumper races on the calendar.
THEATRE DIVA - she missed a suitable opportunity at Ludlow on
Wednesday so will now head to Hereford (Sun 15th) 2m4f 0-125 handicap
or to Southwell (Tue 17th) for a 0-140 handicap over brush hurdles at
2m4f. Venetia thinks the brush hurdles might suit.
KANDJAR DALLIER - his next run will be at Doncaster on Wednesday 18th
in a 3m 0-145 Veterans Chase. Hopefully we'll get some decent
ground up there too. Alan says he's in good form & showing his usual
high amount of enthusiasm.
CHARMAINE WOOD - she may get an entry for Ascot (Sat 14th) for a
valuable Mares only novice. It might be that we have to wait with
her as it might come a bit quick and, importantly, the ground will be
pretty crucial for her. There are plenty of races in the direct
period after Ascot so there is no panic to race.
VALLEYOFTHEDOLLS - missed an ideal opportunity at Southwell on
Wednesday as she would have been a short priced favourite on hurdles
debut. That was a shame but we now re-route to Fakenham (Fri 13th)
or Ascot (Sat 14th). The race at Ascot would be a tentative entry as
it could turn out be a hot race. Whilst she is undoubtedly very
useful there is no point putting a gun to her head on debut. She
needs decent ground.
LATIN SCHOLAR - will head to Sandown (Fri 13th) or to Hereford (Sun
15th) for a juvenile hurdle. He is in good form but will not run on
heavy ground.
DARYAL - Gary says he'll be ready towards the end of the month. We
are yet to decide whether Daryal will have a run on the flat or go
back jumping but the most important thing is to report his well
being. He's a decent horse so I'm praying we get a clear run with
him.
