FEB 4th MEETING - 10 YEAR TRENDS

Previous race trends can often help provide a shortlist of potential
winners in the current year's races - hopefully these brief pointers
will assist race goers at Carlisle today - figure in brackets after
the
race details gives the favourite`s win rate in the race. Due to the
all
chase card this year there are only records for three races this time:

1.50 3M Nov H'cap Chase (0%): Only run three times since race changed
to handicap status in 2005. All past winners were well backed with SP
between
7/2 and 4/1. All had finished 1st/2nd on one of last two outings and
been rested at
Least 25 days.
2.55 2M Nov Chase (33%): Also run three times with few trends other
than all finished 6th or better in last race. All also last raced
within 11-94 days.
4.00 2M H'cap Chase (8%): All six winners (since 2000) last raced
some 18-43 days earlier and carried 10st 11lbs or more. Last four
winners all out of form finishing no better than 6th.
