Please find details below of the club's forthcoming events in
November:
SUNDAY NOV 2ND - STABLE VISIT TO MARTIN TODHUNTER'S YARD
AT ORTON NR PENRITH.
Club member Jim McGahon has kindly arranged this stable visit for the
club.
The visit will start at 10. 30am with an optional racing at Carlisle
afterwards.
Martin, as most people will know, is one of the North West's up and
coming trainers with nearly 50 jumpers trained by the yard in 2007
with winners including Crathorne (3) and Just For Men (2).

MONDAY NOVEMBER 10TH - TOTE TEN TO FOLLOW JUMPS PREVIEW NIGHT -
HAYDOCK PARK 7.45PM
The club's jumps preview night will be the last for 2008 and to
encourage a big turnout we are promoting 2 for 1 tickets if pre
booked for this meeting. To take advantage of this via the internet
please e mail info@.... On the night admission
will be £5 as usual with cash bar available.
Already confirmed on the panel is Mark Ball of Lets Live Racing - a
leading syndicate organiser who has good horses in the yards of Alan
King, Venetia Williams and Donald McCain. Mark has generously offered
raffle prizes on the night to include a signed brochure from the Alan
King owners morning available, (all the jockeys have signed it too).
Plus Mark will be happy to raffle a free membership to our Racing
Club (value £249). Raffle tickets will also be available to members
who cannot attend the preview night - details in Oct/Nov newsletters.
Also invited are John Morris (Jumping Prospects) and Paul Fergusson
(Racing Ahead Weekender).
John has kindly added three copies of his annual as prizes for the
raffle and we also have three frames pictures of Best Mate, Rooster
Booster and One Man as additional raffle prizes.

This winter's Saturday Naps Challenge starts today - for details of

Members who have already entered will be contacted shortly with
details of this year's rules contained in the November issue of Racin.
CLUB AGM - NOVEMBER 17TH
This will now take place at the Windmill Inn at Pickmere - adjacent
to J19 on the M6 motorway - start time 8pm. If members cannot attend
but have any suggestions to make re club activities or would like to
help the committee by sparing a few hours each month please e mail

CLUB GIFT VOUCHERS
Members who have not yet used their 2008 gift vouchers scan still do
so if they are quick - Country Members can use them to enter the
Saturday Naps Challenge whilst all other members can use them at the
Jumps Preview evening at Haydock on Nov 10th.
