BRIAN STOREY STABLE VISIT - 4TH NOVEMBER
The visit will be on Sunday 4th November at 9.30 (an early start just
in case he has any runners that day). Racing will take place at
nearby Carlisle later in the day of course. A charge £4 per person is
requested so that we can give a donation to the stable staff for
giving up their free time to show us around the yard. To book your
place please contact Mrs Lesley Lowe, 21 Freer Street, Denton Holme,
Carlisle CA2 5JX Tel: 01228 401520 enclosing a cheque payable to
Northern Racing Club. Please also enclose an SAE for directions to
the yard or agreed meeting place unless you wish to be advised via e
mail in which case your e mail address should be quoted. A phone
number should also be given in the event that there are any late
changes to the schedule.
NH (10 TO FOLLOW) PREVIEW NIGHT - 12TH NOVEMBER
For the first time we are teaming up with the Tote to arrange a joint
preview night at Haydock Park's Premier Suite with a 7.45pm start - a
cash bar will be available as usual.
It is expected that the panel will include John Morris (Jumping
Prospects), Andy Gibson (Patterns and Profiles) and hopefully Paul
Jacobs (Moorstyle - Star on Sunday).
It is envisaged that entry will cost £10 although this will give you
an entry into the Tote 10 to Follow competition (cost £10) with entry
forms collected in on the night by Tote staff.

The venue for this year's AGM will again be the Tetley Club in
Warrington. For location please click here.
The AGM will start at 7.15pm and we hope to conclude within 1 hour or
so. This will then be followed by a light buffet and racing quiz at
around 8.30pm if there is sufficient demand.

on 0161 973 5921 as without around 20 people participating the quiz
will not go ahead.
HAYDOCK XMAS GATHERING – SAT DEC 22ND
Whilst we are unable to find a sponsored jumps race at Haydock this
winter we have kindly been offered our usual room in the Tommy
Whittle Stand and discounted County Badges for this fixture.
For £20pp we can offer a members badge, use of private room/cash bar,
small buffet, and free entry to champagne tipping challenge on the
days card.
Please send requests for badges (plus SAE) to NRC at 53 Dalebrook Rd,
Sale, Cheshire M33 3LB. Those applications received by 8th Dec will
be posted with all other requests available for collection at the
main entrance.
This is the first time we have held this event so please give us your
support!
AINTREE FESTIVAL 2008
If demand exists we shall put together group bookings on the three
days of the Aintree festival next year when discounts of 15-20% will
be available if we meet the min criteria. So if you are thinking of
booking why not join in the group booking?
For Thursday it will cover all areas, Friday Tattersalls and Saturday
Tattersalls and Steeplechase areas.
* If you are going all three days you may be better booking direct if
you want to buy a season ticket for £20 covering the other 6 days
racing in 2008 (yes there are now 9 fixtures in total!).
An order form will appear in Dec/Jan issue of Racin with closing date
for requests being Jan 31st 2008.
