COLIN THE CHAMPION AND MIKE SCOOPS THE POOL

The N.R.C. Champion Tipster for 2006 is Colin Malone, a worthy
winner of the competition having won two rounds outright and close
up in the other two. His best three rounds achieved a fine total
of 497 points, with Tim Cogan next on 442 and Mike Campbell joint
third (with himself !) on 435. Congratulations to each of them, but
especially to Colin, who as Champion Tipster, will receive the Alex
Bird Trophy later in the year.

As for the final round at the York Ebor Meeting, it is Mike Campbell
who claimed the glory by not only winning with 155 points, but also
pipping Jim Aitkenhead for second spot by virtue of the `most
winners' rule in the event of equal points. Tough on Jim, but
congratulations to Mike. The prize money of £125. will be on its
way to him. Full scores are shown below.
