A ROYAL WIN FOR JEANETTE

In the Royal Ascot round of the Alex Bird Competition, Jeanette
Laird beat a field of 28 to land the third leg and the prize money
of £100. Congratulations to her on a deserved win. She has been a
staunch supporter of the competition over the years. Jeanette
scored 177 points and was followed home by Jim Aitkenhead with 172
who collected £25. for his efforts. Well done to him and all who
took part. Full scores are shown below, together with the
positions after three rounds. Here Colin Malone still has pole
position with 482 points, followed by Tim Cogan 442 and Mike
Campbell 435. With one round to go before the Northern Racing Club
Champion Tipster is decided, Colin has a healthy lead, but with only
the three best scores of four to count, things could change. Good
