CHESTER RACES

- 10 YEAR TRENDS – JUNE 13th MEETING

Previous race trends can often help provide a shortlist of potential
winners in the current year's races - hopefully these brief pointers
will assist racegoers at Chester tonight.

((6.45) 5 FURL MDN (2yo): A reasonable race for favourites which
have a 40% strike rate. Past winners generally finished 5thy or
better LTO with only two unraced horses winning this event . Draw
will be influential with no past winner drawn higher than stall 5.
(7.15) 1M 2F H/CP (3yo): New race in 2005. Stalls 1&2 both finished
in frame last year. 2nd placed horse in 2005 was drawn 12 and won
next time out so worth putting in notebook if any highly drawn
horses run well in this tonight.
(7.45) 1M 2F HCP: Favourites have 35% strike rate. Stalls 1&2 have
won this event 7/10 times with highest winning draw being stall 8.
4&5yo are best age group winning 9/10 races. A recent run (within 23
days) also a common feature.
(8.15) 7F HCP: Favourites strike rate only 25% here. All past
winners had a first four finish on either of last two runs and a
last run within 27 days. 8/10 winners drawn 6 or lower with other
two winners drawn very wide. 4yo is best age group with 6/10 wins.
(8.45) 5F HCP: Trainer D Nicholls has an outstanding record of 5/10
wins here. Draw will again be critical with 9/10 winners coming from
stall 6 or lower. Favourites rate 35% with longest winners SP seen
being 7-1. All winners last ran within 31 days.
(9.15) 1M4F HCP (Lady Riders): Only run three times since 2002 with
two favourites winning so on paper the best favourites race of the
night! Few other trends other than highest winning draw being stall
8.
