Bolinas is great for beginners too and not crowded. :)

I'm a very beginner surfer... takes me about 2 hrs, before i can catch my first wave...:) I usually go to cowell's beach in santa cruz since that's the only spot i know... but it's very crowded and the beach is very rocky... for someone like me, who crashes every 10 mins, it's probably not the best spot... I was wondering if you guys knew of any other spot that's ideal for a total beginner with few people, so i dont come in their way...:)

Linda Mar as someone already mentioned is probably the absolute best for beginners. Try to surf it about 2 hours before high tide... it is better to surf it...

Worth taking..I recommend Richard Schmidts school...others may have some good ones too, but hes been around a while and its a pretty cool learning environment....
