you care about these words.
Hi there,
I am SAM, an Iraqi refugee living in Lebanon at the moment; I have spent the
last 10 years of my life as a refugee registered with the UNHCR in Beirut. The
last 4 years, I have spent as an activist for peace and human rights (especially
refugees and asylum seekers) on the Internet; I'm also books author and ebooks
publisher. I have launched many campaigns to improve our situation as refugees
in Lebanon and hopefully bring more understanding to our problems worldwide. I
helped make many changes and improvements at the UNHCR office in Beirut; I used
the Internet as the field for my activities (you can read more about that in my
free ebook 'MY CAMPAIGNS'). All my ebooks are free and could be download from my
sites.
This is my newest campaign, it's about the illegal and humiliating actions of
the UNHCR, who using photos of refugees as banners and human-buttons to collect
money. This is an abuse of the dignity and humanity of the refugees and must
stop immediately and a clear public apology present by The United Nations High
Commissioner for Refugees. My friends, I am talking about the pictures you can
see here:
http://www.angelfire.com/yt3/un4/human-buttons.htm
Where you can read the rest of this message as web page.
Also you can read my new campaign 'Urgent, we need smile' here:
http://g.1asphost.com/lebanon1/smile.html
For more info about UNHCR and life of refugees you can read my free ebooks. I
invite you as fellow humans and members of the world community to support my
campaign by reading my article on my site and see the human-buttons. The
campaign is to support and improve the UNHCR http://www.unhcr.ch especially
after the last scandals in the UN and UNHCR, just for example:
The refugees allege that UNHCR staff is selling most of the food items they are
supposed to be supplied.
"They aren't supplying sufficient food to us because they sell most of the food
items," they allege: http://allafrica.com/stories/200503140214.html
Here is another example: Burmese Refugees Withdraw Protest Against UNHCR
http://www.mizzima.com/archives/news-in-2005/news-in-april/12-April05-22.htm
"We make demonstration and fast because the UNHCR office in Cairo did nothing
for our problem..." http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/4440730.stm
Together we will build better world.
You could reach me fast via this form:

My name is Jeffrey Girard. I am the director of Yuba-Sutter Pride and the EQCA Y-S Chapter Leader.
I wanted to take a moment to congratulate all of you for your hard work and amazing success with the 2006 Nor-Cal AIDS Challenge.
I met some of you in 2005 and again this year while the riders passed through Yuba-Sutter. This year, I met some of you briefly, on the first day, at the Fairview Community Church rest stop in the tiny town of East Nicolaus. My partner Ty then met some of you in the afternoon at the rest stop at the church across from Ellis Lake in Marysville.
I Regret that Yuba-Sutter Pride was not organized enough this year to reach a point where we could have collaborated with your organization. Our LGBTI community is (compared to Sacramento) relatively small. Nonetheless, with all of the regional development and growth, slowly but surely we will continue to work towards building a visible and viable Yuba-Sutter LGBTI community – which in turn will create an overall strong and vibrant Nor-Cal LGBTI community.
Please note that if you have a designated person who handles promoting your event, recruitment, etc… via e-mail, that person is most welcome to join the Yuba-Sutter Pride online group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Yuba-Sutter-Pride/ to promote the 2007 and future rides.
May you have continued success in your endeavors!
Best wishes,

Well, I would say that there is one thing I would like to see on the training rides next year....a bit more of Rick! Hopefully, it will work out better for me then. My fund raising went better than last year, and that is a huge part of what it is really about anyway.
I will be thinking of you all every day, especially on Friday. I had thought about trying to fly back for that, but really need to stop and take care of myself a bit before tackling the next stage...what ever that is.
Now that we’re all done with the training rides for
this year’s NCAC, I’d love to hear your ideas for changes to the
way training rides are run for next year’s event. Any and all comments
and suggestions are welcome. Feel free to send them directly to me or to this
discussion group.
I’m hoping somebody already got
back to you on this. But if they didn’t, here’s the dope –
The Mandatory Orientation meeting will be
on Wednesday, May 17th from 4-7pm. This will be the final check in
before the next morning’s ride out. The whole process should take about
an hour, so please try to arrive by 6pm.
Hey Eric, Sorry to send conflicting emails, it turns out my dad is going to be brining my nicer bike for this training ride, and he wont be able to get here till just before 8:00. So I won't be able to make it to ride with all of you to winters. However, I'm planning on riding there as well, and maybe I can meet up with you along the way. I'll just leave from Campus (I live in the Tercero dorms) and maybe I can catch you guys as you pass through town since you are meeting on the other end of Davis. Anyways, I'm sorry again for the confusion, call me if you have any questions or if you have an idea for how we can meet up along the way my cell is (916) 221-2233. I don't have any of your numbers so I can't really call to check in. I hope this reaches you in time, if not, I'll just hope to bump into you along the way. I'm really really excited! The big day is quickly approaching! I'll see you soon!
Emily

Hello all,
There is a scheduled training ride this Saturday in Winters. Some of us are meeting in Davis to ride from there to Winters, approximately 20 miles each way.
Meet at the Mace ave Park n Ride at 7am. For those of you coming from Sacramento, exit at Mace ave, turn right off the freeway and make your first right hand turn. The Park n Ride parking lot is on the right side, just past the fruit store. This sounds way more complicated thatn getting there is, but you can call me at 530-400- 3434 if you have any questions. Also, my email is ItsallBueno@....
We won't wait much past 7:15 before we hit the road.
RSVP here or via emaiul so I have an idea who to expect.
It could be our last big ride before Thursday's NCAC. Hope to see you there.
I was looking at the NCAc site to see when the mandatory riders
orientation is when I read this....
"MANDATORY Orientation Meeting for ALL Crew and Riders
May 17th, Tuesday – 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Bicycle Chef at 2409 J St. in Sacramento"
Confusion set in as Tuesday is May 16 and Wednesday is May 17....
So which is it? What night is the Orientation?
Could one of the BigWigs please clarify this so that others and I
could be less confused and show up on the proper day?
Thank you ,
Eric
