Randy,
I understand about the weather (I live in San Jose, and have been faced
with the same challenges : ) In my case, my first AIDS ride (not
trianing ride, but actual ride) is this weeked!! At this point, I'm
using it for training for the NorCal Ride : )
Anyway, you said something about the distance keeping you from doing
it. Were you refering to the 4 days 300+ miles or getting to Sacramento?
I will be driving up to Sacramento the day before the NCAC (on the 17th)
and will most likely be driving through SF on the way, and I'd be
willing to pick you up if you want to commute together.
About your trianing;
If you are having trouble trianing because you have noone to train with,
there are LOTS of SF cycists trianing for the AIDS Lifecycle in June.
You could always join any of the AIDS LifeCycle training rides bewteen
now and then. (They are open to non-participants, except for "The Day
on theRide" trianing event next Saturday.) It's be a great opportunity
to learn how to ride in a group and pick up some great safety tips, if
you're not familiar with them already.
The Trianing Ride Calender can be found at:

Feel free to contact me if you need any assistance or wnat to take me up
on the offer.

I'm riding my bicycle more than 1000 miles to fight AIDS and Leukemia.
Won't you help me end the suffering caused by these diseases?
