Gents,
I'm in the process of teaching myself on new site-builder (joomla)
and will be trying to get that launched for several projects.
In other news: It Has become readily apparent that my students
seem to have a "rock-n-roll" 'tude.
To that end I have introduces a "modified single stick" block
to classes. My son HATES it... far too fast and gives a distinct
edge to his lighter, faster opponents...but to his credit, he recognizes
his technical flaw and is working hard.
Laura ( my wife) recently asked to start training again...while
she is not the firebrand she once was... it took all of 10 minutes of
warm-up for her to start scoring...I'm so proud!
The new fencing sticks are in and finished (obviously) while we
maintain the "cane form" they are only about 20mm (.75 in). We do NOT
go padded up for these matches except for masks, gloves and elbows.
They have discovered the VAST differences of the Wrist, Elbow, and
Shoulder applications of the Moulinet, and all of them bear the
stripes to prove it.
Of course the thrust becomes less prevalent, but it IS still
there...stop thrust still works beautifully..
All the best,
Dirk
