Grupo Maculele in Atlanta would like to invite all capoeiristas to the 1st Capoeira Championship in Atlanta, GA on Saturday, June 3, 2006. The event will begin Friday, June 2, 2006 with a welcome roda for all capoeiristas and workshops will be given by Professors Cocada and Marcinho on Saturday morning with the Championship following later in the afternoon.

The cost will be $40 which includes participation in the workshop and championship, as well as a t-shirt. If you wish to simply participate in the championship, the cost will be $30 (which includes a t-shirt). The registration deadline will be May 15, 2006 so please begin thinking about if this is something you are interested in (because I know it is!)

Professors Cocada and Marincho encourage EVERYONE to participate. There will be something for all levels.
