2. Many of you know that I recently spent four months in East Africa and amazingly, I played ultimate with a locals pickup team in Tanzania. These guys play on a mostly dirt field with no cleats, cones and very few frisbees. They occasionally play tournaments and have a great team turn out to their twice weekly pickup matches. The one thing that they don't have but really need are discs.
I am collecting used frisbees to send with our group leaders this summer who are heading to Tanzania with Global Routes. My goal is to collect 15 frisbees and so far I have already received 4 donations. Please consider bringing an old or new (but in good shape) disc to pickup today and donating it to these folks who love the game.
